Do I need to do anything to prep for my procedure?

  1. Please arrive to appointment with clean eyes, free of makeup + mascara. Any residue from makeup, lotions, or serums will cause the extensions to fall off prematurely.

  2. Please plan to arrive at leas 15 minutes before scheduled appointment time. Your stylist will go over completed forms, and will conduct thorough consultation prior to lash application. Appointment time is approximately 2 hours.

  3. Dress comfortably, avoid caffeine and drinking too much liquid before appointment.

  4. If you wear contacts, you will be asked to remove them. Please bring contact case + solution.

  5. Please note: within the first 24 hours upon receiving eyelash extensions, the adhesive needs to set/cure, and must not be wet or exposed to moisture. Please plan showers and/or exercise accordingly.

How should I care for my lash extensions?

  1. For 24 hours avoid water, heat, facial services and tanning beds. When receiving a facial, ask for damp cotton rounds or tanning goggles to be placed over your lashes.

  2. After 24 hours, resume lifestyle, but resist heat/sweat/sauna.

  3. Do not excessively rub your eyes or pull on lashes.

  4. Avoid touching your extensions, especially at the base. The natural oils from your hands will break down the adhesive bond. Instead, use mascara wand to brush lashes in place.

  5. Clean oil/dirt off of lashes twice daily-- once in the morning and then again in the evening. Always rinse with water. Tip: Q-tips or lint free applicators are great tools to clean eyes and remove makeup around the eyes. You may even use your (clean) fingers!

  6. All eye cleansers must be oil-free and specifically formulated for eyelash extensions. Oils break down the adhesive and will affect retention.

  7. Brush lashes with mascara wand twice daily, or as needed. Gently roll the brush over the lashes with eyes closed to detangle. Open eyes and adjust lashes with brush. Avoid brushing lashes at the base.

  8. Only use mascara or eyeliners, formulated for extensions. Do not use waterproof mascara. Only apply mascara to tips. Tip: Use an angle head synthetic brush to paint mascara on lashes, instead of the wand that comes inside the tube.

  9. Avoid getting too close to heated oven, grill, or fire pit. When cooking, open oven door or grill lid and wait 20 seconds before approaching to allow heat to dissipate. Excessive heat from these sources may cause the pre-curled extensions to straighten.

  10. Avoid shower water from directly hitting your lashes. Lean head back in shower.

  11. Be cautious with hair conditioner dripping onto your lashes, as it contains oils. Lean head back in shower to avoid conditioner on lashes. Use lint free towels to pat lashes dry.

  12. Use any skincare product, but while rinsing avoid product contact on lashes. A dampened washcloth is a great alternative.

  13. Apply eye creams/gels/serums only to orbital area.

Will it ruin or cause my natural lashes to fall out?

Based on the growth cycle of eyelashes, when applying lashes, lash stylist are trained to look for adult lashes to attach the individual synthetic lashes. Young (baby) lashes are left to allow them to fully develop and when it comes times to re-lash, we have new strong lashes to bond to.Lash extensions will not cause your natural eyelashes to fall out. Remember that your natural lashes have their own life cycle of falling and growing – like the hair found elsewhere on your body. It's hard to notice small lashes falling out, but when attached to a thicker, longer lash they become much more noticeable! Once the extensions are removed, your own eyes may appear smaller, your natural lashes, shorter and sparser because you've been accustomed to a full set of longer, thicker lashes.

How long will my new lashes last?

Your new lashes will last between 2 to 4 weeks depending on your skincare routine and your own natural lash life cycle. To maintain the full look of your lashes, it will require you to maintain refills every 2-3 weeks.

How often should I be coming in for lash refills?

We recommend getting refills every 2 to 4 weeks. If you wait too long your extensions will fall out and you will require a full set. Factors such as exposure to humidity, steam or touching your eyes a lot may cause the extensions to fall quicker. Refills can take from 45 - 60 minutes, depending on the state of your remaining lashes. A good sign of when you need a refill is when your extensions are 50%-60% gone.

Can I apply mascara to my lash extensions?

Yes, however you must only apply water based mascara. DO NOT USE OIL-BASED OR WATER-PROOF MASCARA. Waterproof mascara and any type of oil based mascara dissolves the bonding agent of the extensions and causes them to fall out sooner. Also, take care in washing off all eye makeup. Only use a water based eye makeup remover.

Can I swim, shower or exercise while wearing lash extensions?

Yes. The bonding agent we use is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise. However we recommend that you DO NOT WASH your eye area for at least 24 hours after the initial eyelash extension application. This allows the bonding agent to fully dry and prolong the life of your extensions.
